2021 Virtual European Conference

15 - 18 June 2021 

FMA International is excited to announce its 2021 Virtual European Conference! The virtual conference will be held from 15 - 18 June 2021. Under the leadership of Elena Kalotychou,  Assistant Professor of Finance at the Cyprus University of Technology, Sotiris Staikouras, Senior Lecturer, Banking & Finance at Cass Business School, City University of London and Margarita Tsoutsoura, Associate Professor, Academic Director of the John and Dyan Smith Family Business Initiative and John and Dyan Smith Professor of Management and Family Business SC Johnson College of Business, Cornell University, the 2021 Virtual European Conference will bring together academicians and practitioners with interests in financial decision-making and provide a forum for presenting new research and discussing current issues in financial management and related topics. 

Presentations of research papers and special invited sessions will begin Tuesday, 15 June at 6:00 AM (ET) and end on Friday, 18 June at 11:45 AM (ET) and will be hosted on Zoom. Special networking sessions to connect with colleagues and friends will be held each day and will be hosted on Gather.town.

Nadia Massoud

University of Melbourne

"The impact of Disruptive Technology on the Financial Market: Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence"

After completing her PhD in Economics and Finance at Queens University, Nadia held associate professor positions at the University of Alberta and York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Nadia’s research, which has received extensive awards and appeared in leading journals, including the Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Rand Journal of Economics and others, focuses on corporate governance and regulation in the banking sector.

Nadia teaches Financial Institutions, Corporate Finance and Financial Management on our MBA programs and is an organising director of the Financial Institutions, Regulation and Corporate Governance Conference.

FMA Professional Member (academics and practitioners): $20 USD

Non-member Professional (academics and practitioners): $50 USD

FMA Doctoral Student Member: Complimentary

A doctoral student joining during his/her first year will receive a free three-year membership. A student joining in his/her second year will receive a free two-year membership. A student joining in his/her third year will receive a free one-year membership.
