We invite you to join us for an evening with Nobel Laureate Harry M. Markowitz. In a fireside chat with Mark Kritzman, CEO of Windham Capital Management, Harry will speak on various topics such as the origins and criticisms of modern portfolio theory, other work including sparse matrices and dynamic programming, the recent financial crisis, and outlook on the finance profession.

This event will include a reception from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner and the fireside chat.

About Harry M. Markowitz

Dr. Markowitz has applied computer and mathematical techniques to various practical decision making areas. In recognition, in 1989 Dr. Markowitz received the Von Neumann Award from the Operations Research Society of America for his work on portfolio theory, sparse matrix techniques and the SIMSCRIPT simulation programming language. In 1990 he shared The Nobel Prize in Economics for his work on portfolio theory. Dr. Markowitz is the principal of Harry Markowitz Company, and an adjunct professor at the Rady School of Management, UCSD.
