Other Call for Papers and Call for Reviewers

Call for Papers: Submit Journal

Summit Journal is the official publication of AFIRE, the association for international real estate investors focused on commercial property in the United States. Published in print and digital formats multiple times per year, Summit features articles from AFIRE members and guest contributors to provide an essential forum for real estate investment thought leadership through the research and analysis of real estate trends, urbanism, finance, capital markets, cross-border issues, policy, economics, technology, and management. The editors of Summit are currently seeking future-focused thought leadership across finance, investing, real estate, ESG, technology, management, demography, economics, and more. The editors seek articles that challenge conventional thinking or present new approaches to old ideas. Challenges to the status quo are more important than ever as we collectively form the vision of what the world will look like for our buildings, organizations, stakeholders, and communities in a world after COVID-19. Topics are open. We are interested in 1,500-word articles with original ideas running across the full range of our industry—futurism, capital markets, cross-border issues, global cities, policy, economics, technology, management, demographics, operations, and more. Abstracts and proposals can be submitted to Benjamin van Loon, AFIRE Communications Director, [email protected].

The proposal deadline for the July/August 2020 issue is May 25, 2020.

The proposal deadline for the September/October issue is August 15, 2020.

Corporate Governance: An International Review

Special Issue on “Ownership and Corporate Governance across Institutional Contexts”

Submission Deadline: September 1, 2020

The purpose of this special issue forum is thus to encourage integrative research on corporate ownership and how changes in corporate ownership composition affect corporate governance, as well as to facilitate cross-fertilization of ideas across research streams and communities traditionally focused on different institutional contexts. In particular, we are interested in how the now more heterogeneous corporate ownership structures affect corporate governance mechanisms and their effectiveness in different countries.

The deadline for submissions is September 1, 2020. Late submissions will not be accepted. In accordance with CGIR’s values, we seek research that is both rigorous and relevant to practitioners and/or policy-makers. Since the overarching mission of the journal is to develop a global theory of corporate governance (Judge, 2010; Zattoni & Van Ees, 2012), multi-country examinations of the effects of heterogeneity and changes in ownership structures on the internal governance arrangements of firms in a variety of countries are particularly welcome. Both national and multi-national examinations will be considered. To view the full call for papers, click here.
