Hong Kong2018 Asia/Pacific Conference

FMA International is pleased to announce its 10th Asia/Pacific Conference in Hong Kong. FMA’s Asia/Pacific Conference brings together academicians and practitioners with interests in financial decision-making and provides a forum for presenting new research and discussing current issues in financial management and related topics. 

Presentations of research papers, panel discussions, and tutorials will begin Thursday morning and end Friday afternoon. The Doctoral Student Consortium (invite only) will be held on Wednesday.

Keynote Speaker Announced

David DenisDavid J. Denis
Roger S. Ahlbrandt, Sr. Chair and Professor of Business Administration
University of Pittsburgh

Professor Denis joined the Katz faculty in 2011 after previously serving on the faculty at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1989-1995) and Purdue University's Krannert School of Management (1995-2011). His primary teaching and research interests are in the area of corporate finance. He is the author of over 50 published articles in leading peer-reviewed journals on topics related to corporate governance, corporate financial policies, corporate organizational structure, corporate valuation, and entrepreneurial finance.

Doctoral Student Consortium on Wednesday, 16 May 2018

Doctoral Student Consortium includes a panel session with distinguished scholars discussing the latest advances in research and offering career advice. The afternoon breakout sessions give participants the opportunity to present job market papers or dissertation proposals and receive feedback from the faculty and panelists. Accepted participants receive complimentary conference registration.

To apply for the Doctoral Student Consortium, students must complete the online application and submit a 5 - 10 page dissertation proposal (in PDF format). In addition, one recommendation letter should either be uploaded to the application form or sent to FMA prior to the application deadline.
